Event Terms & Conditions
We look forward to assisting you plan your next special occasion here at Tonno Restaurant. Please read through our terms & conditions prior to confirming your booking. No event will be considered booked until management has received this deposit and has confirmed it with you.
DEPOSIT & PAYMENT TERMS
A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 is required to reserve the space and will be applied to your final bill on the day of the event. Tonno will provide an itemized invoice at the conclusion of your event, at which, the remaining payment must be made. Note: Checks that are returned not payable are subject to a $50 bank service charge.
Written notice is required to cancel a booking. A cancellation fee, in the amount of the deposit, may apply. Management reserves the right to cancel functions at any time providing notice in writing within 21 days of the planned private event. Tonno is not responsible for the loss of enjoyment due to delays, interruptions or changes in arrangements or other services which are caused by circumstances amounting to force majeure, such as, but not limited to war, riot, acts of God, government regulations, natural disaster, pandemic, or adverse weather. In such circumstances, Tonno reserves the right to cancel any booking without notice at any time.
TAX AND SERVICE CHANGES
As required by law, all food, beverage, and rental items are subject to 6.25% MA state tax and .75% local tax. A service charge of 20% will be applied to all food and beverage items and added to your final invoice.
All menu choices & final requirements are to be provided no less than seven days prior to the event. This is to allow our chef to ensure the quality and availability of food. A manager will contact you prior to this date advising what information is required. Any changes thereafter may result in additional charges. Failure to do so may result in some food/beverage options being unavailable. In absence of menu confirmation, we will design a suitable meal package for your function. Please note that the menu is subject to seasonal variation and prices may be subject to change without notice.
Final number of guests attending must be confirmed three days prior to your event. This is the minimum number that you will be charged for. Charges will be based on these minimum numbers or the actual attendance, whichever is greater.
Beverages are calculated on consumption. You may opt for a hosted bar, cash bar, beer and wine only, limited menu or any combination. At no point under any circumstances will outside beverages be consumed during an event. All alcoholic beverages purchased must be consumed on the licensed premises only. Tonno is a responsible server of alcohol and for this reason we reserve the right to: refuse service to intoxicated persons; refuse entry and service to underage persons; remove any persons creating a disturbance. Any guests deemed by a staff member to be intoxicated may be asked to leave the premises.
CAKES PROVIDED BY THE CLIENT
We do welcome outside celebration cakes provided by a licensed commercial bakery. Tonno does not supply storage or refrigeration, nor is responsible for damage, for cakes delivered prior to the event.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE REGULATIONS
Due to health department regulations, Tonno must provide all food and beverages consumed on the premise. The health department prohibits us from allowing guests to take home food from a buffet with the exception of a licensed celebration cake. Bar service will close 15 minutes prior to the scheduled conclusion of event.
Please inform the Event Coordinator if you plan to arrive early for decorating. We are happy to assist with decorating and theming. Simply organize a time to meet with our Events Coordinator to discuss ideas. No banners, signs or posters may be attached to walls or ceilings without Managers approval. The host will be held financially responsible for any damage made to the venue prior to or during the function. No smoke, bubble or dry ice machines are to be used without first obtaining written approval from your coordinator. Absolutely NO glitter, confetti or silly string. A cleaning surcharge of $100 will be applied if required for use of glitter, confetti, silly string etc.
We can provide table linens, flowers, decorations, microphone, PA system, audiovisual equipment, photo booth, & quiz services (at additional costs). Administration charge is applicable to all hired equipment or services organized by Tonno’s function coordinators.
SUPPLIERS & DECORATORS / DELIVERIES
Tonno has no restrictions on suppliers and vendors, however all deliveries to the venue must be advised to the Event Coordinator prior and marked with the name and date of the function. Deliveries must not arrive more than 24 hours prior to the event. Please advise delivery details, contact numbers and times of deliveries to be arranged. The suppliers are responsible for pickup and delivery within the venue’s guidelines, including any specialized installation required.
The client agrees to conduct any event in an orderly manner, respecting the rights of other clients and guests of Tonno. All conduct must be in full compliance with all applicable laws. Tonno accepts no responsibility for any gifts or goods at the event or left behind at the conclusion of an event. No responsibility is taken for the loss of clothing and other personal items left with management or staff. The client accepts responsibility for costs for any equipment, furniture, fittings, or parts of the building damaged by their guests and associates. Cost of any excess cleaning or fixing of property damage will be assessed by the General Manager at Tonno and passed onto the client. No nails, staples, screws tape or other materials are to be attached to walls, doors, or other parts of the building without prior consultation with the venue manager. The full cost of any damage incurred to the property of Tonno is the financial responsibility of the Person(s) who have provided the deposit or credit card details.
